Dr. O’Connor is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist (physiatrist) with a clinical practice emphasis of spine, sports, neuromuscular rehabilitation, and functional pain management. He completed premedical training at The American University and is a graduate of Nova–Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a one-year medical internship at Palmetto General Hospital in Miami, Florida and did his residency training in PM&R at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, New York. After completing residency in 1999, Dr. O’Connor did a clinical fellowship in Sports and Electrodiagnostic Medicine at Michigan State University. He joined Lansing Orthopedic in 2002. He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and has a subspecialty board certification in Pain Medicine by the ABPM&R. Dr. O’Connor is the team physician for the Mason High School Bulldogs in Mason, he has an academic appointment as clinical assistant professor in PM&R at Michigan State University, and is a consultant to the Michigan State University Spartan athletic department. His clinical practice includes diagnostic EMG, diagnostic / therapeutic spinal and extremity injections, and osteopathic manipulative treatment.
