Dr.
Todd Harburn received his medical degree from the Chicago College
of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago and went on to complete an orthopedic
surgery residency at Lansing General Hospital, Osteopathic, in Lansing,
Michigan. During the four years of his residency, Dr. Harburn also
completed postgraduate training in sports medicine with Herbert
Ross, DO, Team Surgeon and Orthopedic Consultant for Intercollegiate
Athletics at Michigan State University, and with Bruce Reider, MD,
Head of the Sports Medicine Section and Consultant for Intercollegiate
Athletics at the University of Chicago.
After
completing his medical training in 1987, Dr. Harburn joined Lansing
Orthopedic, P.C., as a general orthopedist specializing in sports
medicine. He is currently the orthopedic consultant for Intercollegiate
Athletics at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Dr. Harburn is board-certified
by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is
certified by the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and
by the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. He is an
active member of several other prestigious professional organizations.
A former four-year intercollegiate football player and still an
avid fan of college football, he has co-authored two books on the
history of intercollegiate football in Michigan.
